COMMUNITY ACTIVATION
Since 2016 we have been helping everyday people reclaim their health using food as medicine, natural remedies, herbs, and agroecology (“No-Dig Garden”). This led to the first-of-its-kind 3-year hospital Population Health funded multilingual programming which is inclusive, multicultural, multilingual, multigenerational, adaptive, accessible, built-in with social determinants of health. Through community building at the Fitchburg Sundial Community Garden, Fitchburg Active Life Adult Day Center, and the Clinton Bigelow Free Public Library we were able to encourage community engagement, social impact, social determinants of health. This included multilingual programming, onsite childcare, transportation stipends, and inclusion for disabilities and multicultural groups.

Keynote Speaker at the Connecticut College Arboretum’s annual Smaller American Lawns Today (SALT) Conference: Creating Edible Gardens for People and Pollinators
“Our problems are more social than scientific... We need to solve some of the social problems of our food system, e.g. disconnect between growers and those eating their product. SproutChange™ is, therefore, on the right track, marrying the no-till agriculture/gardening systems to the food apartheid problems that are growing & spreading.” ~ Bob Stuller, Activist & Filmmaker
